Chris Stanley
Chris is a Certified European Hockey Coach with the DEB in Germany. He has 8 years of coaching experience both as a player-coach and as a Head Coach at the second and third tiers of Professional Hockey in Germany. Chris played in the OHL with the Belleville Bulls where he was drafted to the NHL by the Vancouver Canucks. He went on to play professionally in both North America and Europe for 15 seasons.
Colton Sparrow
Currently an assistant coach with the Vernon Vipers in the BCHL, Colton is a former NCAA D1 and USports hockey player. After playing with Alaska-Fairbanks and the University of Regina, he moved overseas to play in Sweden before returning to British Columbia and starting his coaching career. Colton’s leadership and background will be extremely helpful in guiding each player’s development.
Sean McGovern
Sean currently coaches in Calgary, AB, and has a wide range of knowledge from his 6-year pro career in Europe. Before turning pro, he played NCAA D1 at St. Lawrence University under former NHL and D1 coach of the year Greg Carvel.
During his junior career, Sean attended the Taft School and went on to play in the BCHL with the Surrey Eagles, gaining a deep understanding of the recruiting process and what it takes to elevate your game. He loves helping players develop hockey IQ and showing the different options a player has to achieve their goals.
Matthew Bourgeois
Matthew is a goalie coach and recruiter at Canisius College NCAA D1 since 2022. Matthew is a certified High Performance 1 coach and Goaltending Level 3 coach with Hockey Canada and a Gold level goalie coach with USA Hockey. Matthew works with the Ontario Hockey Federation,the Ontario Minor Hockey Association as well as the Northern Ontario Minor Hockey Association as a goaltending coach and mentor. Matthew’s passion lies in goalie development and guiding players to become the best version of themselves. Since 2009 Matthew has travelled to Europe, Asia, Australia and the US to work with some of the best hockey programs and is looking forward to sharing what he’s learned with the Elite Sports community.
Frank Longo
Frank has been actively coaching goaltenders for the past 13 years. Originally starting at the age of 14, Frank has coached in multiple provinces across Canada, ranging from Major Junior and NCAA goaltenders, all the way to beginners. Longo started coaching AAA hockey with the Whitby Wildcats organization, before moving on to Stanstead College (Prep-Quebec) as the goaltending coach with the boys and girls varsity programs while helping the goaltenders achieve NCAA and USports scholarships. Longo then returned back to his Alma mater and was the assistant/goaltending coach for the Nipissing University Women’s Varsity program where the program achieved a Silver Medal at the USPORTS National Championships during the 2021-22 season. More recently, Longo has been part of the Hockey Operations staff with the Kenai River Brown Bears organization in the NAHL.
