Most parents and players think recruitment is about being seen at the right tournament. It is not. Here is what actually moves the needle, and where a pro tape changes the math.
Scouts cannot be everywhere
A single OHL or NCAA program covers thousands of prospects across hundreds of leagues. Scouts physically attend a fraction of the games involving the players they are tracking. Most evaluation happens off-ice, in front of a screen.
Video is how scouts cover ground they can never visit.
They watch hundreds of tapes a week
A typical D1 or Junior A recruiting coordinator can burn through huge stacks of highlight reels per week, especially in March, April, August, and September. Most get 10 to 30 seconds before the next file is opened.

What kind of footage do you actually need?
Phone video works. Camera footage works. GoPro works. We accept MP4, MOV, AVI, and HEVC up to 2 GB per file. The more game footage you send, the more material we have to pick your strongest plays from. Three to five full games is the sweet spot for a Prospect tape.
Do I own the tape, or are you renting it to me?
You own it. Forever. One-time purchase. We deliver an HD 1080p MP4 file plus a private shareable link. Post it on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, embed it on a recruiting profile, or send it directly. No subscription, no platform lock-in, no watermarks.
What if I do not like the first cut?
Starter includes one revision round; Prospect and Elite include two. You can request specific clips be added, removed, or re-ordered, or ask for a different music genre.
How is this different from CapCut or hiring my cousin?
CapCut does not know what an OHL scout looks for in the first eight seconds. Our editors do. The format, pacing, and structure are calibrated to a 30-second attention window, not to look cool on TikTok.
Can I pick the music?
Yes. During onboarding you choose the vibe: hype, cinematic, clean, or no music at all. If the first cut is not the sound you wanted, that is exactly what revision rounds are for.
How fast can I have it for a deadline?
Standard turnaround is 5 to 7 business days. Elite includes 48-hour rush at no extra charge. If you have a hard deadline (camp invitation, commitment letter, ID camp registration), tell us at upload and we will confirm whether we can hit it before charging you.
What if I am not a top prospect yet?
A tape is not a verdict on your level. It is a tool for the level you are chasing. A Starter tape is built to land tryouts at the next level up. A Prospect tape is built for USHL or NCAA looks. The tape opens the door at the level you are aiming for, not the one you are leaving.
